Github, the code collaboration powerhouse, has recently made their platform “lighter and brighter.” The layout changes are also complemented by other minor changes GitHub has made. They improved the UI by adding a list of past commits on the left side and the selected commit on the right side. Commit times were moved to relative time rather than using dates. Also, there are no more horizontal scroll bars in GitHub for Windows.
Although these changes are minor, they make GitHub more appealing to potential users, including the Robotics programming team. Code collaboration platforms like GitHub and Google Code would help new members access code and be able to learn Java the way we use it in Robotics.
